Chrononym Laboratories (tm) Care Package

This is a Chrononym Laboratories (tm) Care Package I sent out to @Wolven and @UnknownBinaries.

I wanted to find a way to communicate the use and description of a psychotronic device within the piece itself, rather than needing a giant letter explaining everything. This is my first go at that.

Network Induction Upgrade Splice.
Although every device I make is networked and supports future upgrades, older models will only be able to handle so much additional advancement; so I'm working on upgrade packages specifically to keep everything running smoothly and up-to-date.

Memetic Flask: Eightfold Blackdeep Grasps Obscured.
Built using similar principles as the previous Memetic Flask; however, rather than bottling Inspiration, this one is tied to an entity-concept Dr. Quandary and I have been working on, described as the patron of Hidden Knoweldge, the Distiller of Secrets, the Eight-Minded one, the Shadowpoint. I didn't want to fashion it as a straight-up spirit bottle, since those seem like a fair bit of responsibility for the recipients; so I designed it as a machine to manifest the workings of the entity-concept, rather than as a physical seat for the entity itself. Ideas/concepts/memes/whatever can be introduced into the bottle; its workings will then distill them down into kernels of secret knowledge, rearranging and mutating the original ideas into new and/or unseen configurations. The bottle can be used as-is, or be filled with a fluid medium to suspend concepts in. As with everything, the more energy/information routed through it, the more the device will complexify and increase in potency.

On the mystery generators: A Trinary View of the Cryptodynamic Hyperlith

As stated in the name, the three mystery generators are in fact three views of the same object: the Cryptodynamic Hyperlith. It is designed as the seed, the foundation stone, of the entire network that I am building / have built from my art. In one sense, it’s the core of the memeplex from which all of my art branches out from or is otherwise attached to. Each of these mystery generators was designed to Make Life Weirder for the recipients; by the same process, though, they are complexification engines that define and drive the inherent functions of the network. Each generator describes a different view of the Hyperlith, a different aspect of its functioning; each piece is modelled on one of the three Alchemical Principles: Salt, Sulfur, and Mercury.

‘Heterodyne Acustator / Perceptic Inevitabilitron’ corresponds to Sulfur, in a number of ways. Foremost, maybe, is that I hardly knew what I was doing. I didn’t really know what I was working with, and really just made it up as I went along. There was no material I was shaping or vessel holding it; it was the burning itself, the Doing. Further, I used it as the initial rocket, as it were; this was really only the second piece I’d done, period, and it was while working on it that I realized I could imbue it with psychotronic properties. I programmed it as an eternal flame of Mystery, a fire to transform what I was doing with my life, the heat of which could melt down and dissolve any idea, object, or notion.

With ‘Astromakhian Aggregate Aegis | Exvolution Assembly,’ now having a better idea of what I was doing, I needed to set up a foundation, an actual launchpad. This seems a little backwards, launching the rocket first and then building the launchpad, but what are you gonna do. Thus, it is Salt. I was, at this point, just beginning to understand the necessity of supplementing the technical side of things with a mythological side, and this generator was an attempt to describe and catalyze a balance between the two. It was designed, then, as the vessel, the furnace, within which the operation is performed; but by performing the operation within it, the vessel itself changes, is given new meanings. It evolves, but not necessarily linearly; it can change and shift in directions that are unpredictable, or even unknown; an exponential jump in a direction that, until the jump happens, couldn’t be pointed to.

So, the ‘Galactronic Hyperlattice Infinitizer \ Parafictsolvic Coagulo-Generatrix,’ then, is Mercury. It is the New Form, produced from the synthesis of the other two; but it flows, shifts forms, changes; and in its transformations informs the other two principles, so that they combine and synthesize in new ways, new proportions, new configurations, leading to new outcomes; it is the conclusion and the antecedent, what is Arrived At and what is Sought After. By dint of being the last one I made, this generator is the most accurately described; my language, as it were, is cleaner, more concise. It contains my best estimates as to my future goals and the programs and systems I have in place to reach them; but even more, it is inbuilt fluidity, it is Emergence; it is the wellspring of the Unknown, not as the Fire and Heat of Sulfur, but as the pure light that the operation gives off, which defines the principles and tools involved, the system as a whole, but also the darkness; it gives distinction to the edges of what is visible, knowable, and in this distinction that darkness becomes sharper, the unknown presses in, when without the light there is no distinction.

The structures of each of the generators have similarities, especially in the borders. This area is both circuitry and programming, a description of how it works as well as the actual workings. The symbols in the three corners are tied to specific concepts that went in to the fashioning of them. In the top left of each is the glyph representing the whole of the network, the sum total of What I Have Done And What I Will Do. In the bottom left is a concept-device that I was given in deep gnosis, which I still have difficulty accurately describing; it is a memetic applicator/converter, which contains mechanisms that ensure memes mature in the most efficient and beneficial way possible. Part of the reason it’s hard for me to describe is that when I was given it, I experienced its functioning firsthand; and although I could tell what was happening, much of how it actually worked was being expressed in terms of complex mathematical relationships which I quite simply lack the knowledge to understand or communicate. I have to use extremely dumbed-down analogies which I know barely get the ideas across.

Finally, in the upper right is a glyph unique to each of the generators. On the Infinitizer, this is clearly Mercury-derived, both to express the nature of the device and to tie it to Hermes/Mercury Himself, who is one of my Main Patron Dudes. On the Aggregate Aegis, it is a glyph that represents the Spider-Queen of Time, an entity-aspect that it seems nearly everyone is familiar with. A vast majority of the understandings I’ve come to through deep gnosis have been presented to me through the lens of higher-dimensional time, and most of my concepts and ideas work on these understandings; further, this is tied to Salt, because a condition of manifestation/incarnation (indeed, perhaps the condition) is immersion in Time. I learned, rather roughly, that some work can only be accomplished through the agency of time, which is a pretty fundamental understanding. It is with some embarrassment that I confess that I don’t fully know what the symbol on the Perceptic Inevitabilitron is; it is a mutation of a glyph that I received in the same gnostic state as when I got the others, but I don’t really know what it means. I’m unsure if I or someone else will one day figure it out, or if it is tied to an aspect of fire, wherein one cannot get too close to it in attempts to understand it. I guess it’s... a mystery?

Memetic Flasks, Sasquatch Resonators, and Dream Complexes

I finally finished up my idea bottle / memetic flask, just in time to fill it with that yerba mate-infused vodka I made and give it Man Mantis when he came through the Pacific Northwest.

I originally started making this thing after trying to figure out how I would make a spirit bottle in my own idiosyncratic method. I eventually decided I'd rather use it to try bottling a concept, something that anyone could use, rather than make it as a seat for a spirit. To that end, I've bottled Inspiration.

The bottle is constructed as an 8-dimensional flask, a self-contained microuniverse. In this regard it's similar to "Machines, Take Up Thy Schematics and Self-Construct," but that device was created to facilitate access and exploration of a specific current or sub-category of idea; the bottle is designed to keep its contents as separate as possible from the rest of existence. The opposing triangles on the top and bottom create an 8-dimensional circuit that encloses the contents. Built into this circuitry is a sigil device that allows ideas to be introduced into the physical contents (in this case, the mate-vodka idea juice), seeding the informational superstructure of the medium with concepts that will grow like crystals in a solution.

By viewing the entire paradigm I generally work with, the one with which I make these machines, as a single higher-dimensional topological object or structure, I can interact with it as though it were a map or landscape; by pulling up, and then folding down, the concept of Inspiration as viewed from different points within this landscape, I generated a number of seed-sigils which I then planted in the informational super-structure of the idea juice. These memes, which vary widely in their composition but all of which embody various facets of Inspiration, will be matured by the machinery of the bottle. The bottle includes processes which monitor the ongoing growth of the concepts, and the networks and structures their interactions create, and which guides the developing ideas towards the richest veins of Inspiration (while still allowing for a degree of random mutation to encourage unforeseen innovation). The operator can also introduce his or own concepts into the medium, and they'll be grown in the same manner. Because the flask is designed as an enclosed universe with one more temporal dimension than the medium's superstructure, particular ideas can be focused on at will, and followed backwards through its evolution, forward to its descendants, or through divergent developments in three-dimensional time.

Because the operator's paradigm will be different from mine, the ideas will manifest in ways that may be entirely different than how I interpret them; and because the bottle is self-enclosed, they will likely develop in a way wholly different from how they've evolved in the larger ideaspace with which I'm working. In this way, a greater robustness of Mystery is achieved, because a greater variety of strains of Weirdness will manifest in the world.

I activated the bottle primarily through paradox modulation, and once online it continues to power itself by harvesting energy from its own innate spin through its higher-dimensional axes. It will slowly complexify on its own from the energy/information generated by the growth of concepts within, but any energy/information fed into it by the operator will greatly increase its 'weight' as a higher-dimensional concept; the more it is used, the more meaningful it becomes. This is kind of obvious, but it means that with use the ideas within will evolve at a much higher rate.

Other than that, I've been working on a Sasquatch Resonator, to more easily access and investigate the Bigfoot/Sasquatch/Yeti mindstream:

Like I said above, I often use a higher-dimensional topological projection as a way of moving around the paradigm I'm building/using. By switching at times to using this... research complex, some interestingly different interactions are possible. A big part of this was inspired by an interview with Paul Laffoley I read, where he off-handedly references how Nikola Tesla would construct a machine within a lucid dream, set it in motion, wake up and go about his life, and then check back in a few days later to see where it had worn out. This is a pretty awesome idea and while I'm obviously no Tesla, I've been employing it for awhile now, in a combination of lucid dreaming and active imagination. By using the research complex metaphor, I can have certain sections of the complex specialize on developing certain ideas, or even kinds of ideas, and then come back a while later to see what comes of it. Obviously this is possible with the higher-D topology model, as well as countless other paradigms I'm sure, but it is interesting.

Documentation for "Machines, Take Up Thy Schematics and Self-Construct!"

“Machines, Take Up Thy Schematics and Self-Construct!” is designed as a fully-functioning psychotronic device, made to facilitate interaction with the concept of Robomancy. Each print confers access to a personal iteration of the Robomancy memeplex/egregore; put another way, the whole of the Robomancy ‘universe’ is accessible by, and contained within, the design.

Structure

The device has two main components: the frame and the sigils.

The frame is a two-dimensional slice of an eight-dimensional container made of machine-language; the sigil-circuitry both describes the device and is the device itself. It is constructed as a container, a memetic flask made to hold, and allow access to and manipulation of, the entire Robomancy memeplex, as well as every component element and combination of elements that comprise it. The frame is both an object and the programming behind the object, describing the structure and function of the device as well as providing the means of interfacing with it.

The central sigils are the actual link to the Robomancy egregore. The planetary sigils are present to fully describe the Robomancy universe, as well as to facilitate easy access to their respective domains.

The primary glyph is a two-dimensional hologram of the entire Robomancy concept. In its construction, I folded in everything Robomancy is and could be, as far as I am capable of understanding it. That being said, I left most of the description for Joshua to input, as he’s worked far more intimately with the Robomancy current.

Function

The device has a number of pre-loaded functions, with plenty of room for expansion. First, it contains preservation and propagation programs to spread awareness and interest in Robomancy. Each print increases the weight/pressure exerted by the concept of Robomancy on the manifested world. The more each iteration is used, the more potent this effect will be. Second, due to the entire egregore being contained within the frame, any energy/information introduced into the system will remain in the system; added energy/information will complexify the concepts already present and encourage the growth of new ideas. The Robomancy universe is a finite but unbound eight-dimensional landscape, a shifting, evolving hyperobject. It has an inherent spin through four spatial dimensions; this extra-dimensional rotation, or vorticitation, as Peter J. Carroll termed it, involves every point on a hypersurface pulling inside-out through itself through to its antipode. Because the universe is a functional hologram, the structure of the whole is contained in its smallest particles. Thus, every elementary bit of every concept, and their constituent sub-concepts, and every combination and permutation thereof, is possessed of the same sort of spin, and therefore is reconciled with its opposite, by moving through itself to its antipode, as a fundamental aspect of its existence. This spin powers the whole machine, and amplifies any additional energy operators put into it, as new information causes new complexities resulting in more ‘objects’ spinning.

The primary function of the device is to facilitate interaction with Robomancy. Even if the operator has no knowledge of, or interest in, actually building robots, the device presents a gate to an internally consistent, fully immersive universe of useful concepts. Because each iteration interfaces with its operator’s unique combination of paradigms and modalities, every interaction is presented in the way that will be of the most benefit to the operator. No matter what kind of practitioner the operator may be, no matter the field of specialty, there are ideas and tools in Robomancy that can be useful.

Furthermore, each iteration of the device is connected to every other, as well as the original drawing. Thus, the evolution of one idea in one iteration will feed into the entire system; each piece grows with the whole, and vice versa. With every copy of the device used, the overall system will increase in processing power, hastening the growth of all the concepts involved. Because Joshua has the master copy, as it were, even if no one else magically interfaces with the device, each copy will still grow more potent over time due his ongoing work with Robomancy empowering the network.

Use

Because the device is designed to optimally interface with each operator’s paradigms and modalities, any method the operator may wish to use to achieve gnosis and interact with it should be supported. That being said, there is a native user interface included. This is the method with which I’ve been designing, building and exploring it. In the hopes of encouraging experimentation with this method, a description follows.

Using whatever means preferred, the operator readies for work as desired with encircling, centering, banishing, etc., and enters a state of gnosis. Either holding or gazing at the device, the operator visualizes (and if holding it, feels) the border extrude out from both the front and back of the paper, forming an approximately one inch thick, three-dimensional frame. This frame is composed of the eight-dimensional machine language, as in the drawing, but infinitely more complex, which glows with pure magic and constantly flows and revolves through the three-dimensional area described by the visualized frame. Centered in the frame are the planetary sigils and central glyph. These are two dimensional holograms representing/linked to/containing their respective concepts. The planetary sigils blaze in their corresponding colors and the central glyph, the entirety of Robomancy, blazes with pure magic. Should the operator wish to work or explore solely in a specific planetary domain, or a combination/intersection thereof, the operator can then select and activate, through touch and visualization, the required sigil(s). It is strongly recommended, however, that first time users activate the central glyph in order to calibrate the device to the operator and vice versa. This will run an installation protocol that will acclimate the operator to the system, and the system to the operator, as rapidly as possible. Still, much will likely be glossed over at first, so in-depth exploration will continually yield new methods and tools.

Once activated, the device projects a holographic representation of the selected concepts in the way best suited to the operator. The projection can be ‘outside’ of the operator, allowing work to be done on it as a discrete object; but it can also be projected immersively, allowing exploration and engineering to be done from inside the concept’s topology. In either case, connections and correspondences can be created or altered, new ideas can be introduced, specific ideas or parts of ideas can be induced to evolve at an accelerated rate – and much more besides. Further, these activities can be linked to bodywork, empowering both the bodywork and the Robomancy ideaspace.

I’ve experimented with exploring the conceptual realm of Robomancy using this device, seeing it at times as a vast, multi-dimensional fractal-like hyperobject, zooming in indefinitely from the entire memeplex, to interacting groups of concepts, down to individual concepts, and even smaller. At other times, it’s more like astral projection or scrying in the spirit vision, exploring a mythological/archetypal symbolic world, shaping and learning from it as I move through it. These are just the smallest fragment of the possible uses for Robomancy, and I’m eager to see where it goes.

Whatever the device is used for, even if just as a piece of art, I hope that it proves as interesting for you as it has for me.

Paintings in Magic

Taylor Ellwood of Magical Experiments recently posted on his use of paintings in magic, and asked how others use paintings, so I thought I'd dig into that.

This is the first painting I did specifically for magical use. Two friends of mine were interested enough in what I'd been doing that we decided to do a group working. I'd been doing a lot of extremely intense energy healing during this time, but only ever in a one-on-one setting, so it took a bit for us to work out how we would do this. Eventually we realized that our respective astrological situations made it easy for each of us to assume the role of one of the three alchemical elements. J, a Taurus, worked as Salt; H, an Aries, was Sulphur; and while I'm a Leo, my close personal and working relationship with Hermes made Mercury an easy fit.

I arrived at H's house, where we were to work, before dawn, and we trekked out to some crossroads where I made an offering to Hermes and did my solar adoration. J, who was interested in getting into Voudon, got in touch with Legba, and H did something non-entity-specific (so far as I know, at least) but similar. We walked back to H's and I laid out my plans to them. After awhile they took to napping, as they'd stayed up all night talking; during this time I set to painting the above piece. It took three or four hours, and the sitting situation in H's room was not ideal, so I was kneeling most of the time; between the low light, the dream-heavy atmosphere of my napping friends, and the fairly severe pain of kneeling for that long, I got into a pretty heavy altered state. The painting was meant to embody both the working principles of the planned operation, and the overall goal. As I'd never tried anything like this with multiple people, it seemed best that we each program for the removal of obstacles that lay before contacting our perfected selves. Through a process of cut-ups and sigilization, we arrived at the symbols in each corner of the triangle. Everything along the outside of the triangle is circuitry designed to draw in and focus our energy. We started the operation at sunset and it lasted far into the night; I'll not go into the details now, but it was one of the most successful workings I've ever done, with some truly astounding results, both right then and in the long run. We used the painting as a focus, and it was through this that I later came to understand some of the principles in the art that I'm producing now.

Some time later, we attempted a similar working, but incorporated one more person. The day of the operation I prepared myself physically and mentally, and created the above piece. This was the first time I'd used color, at all, and the exact hue appeared to me the night before. I'm actually still pretty amazed that I was able to get precisely the color I saw in my mind. By this point I had a very slightly better understanding of the ideas behind the psychic machinery, but looking back it was not much further along than when I made the previous painting. Nonetheless, this one was created to facilitate the linking of our consciousnesses. The name that occurred to me was Eclipse Machinery, although there is a secondary name that I later learned and cannot divulge.

At the time, the operation was an unqualified failure. Everyone involved had an absolutely dismal time and it wreaked bloody havoc on all of us. I was fortunate enough to learn several valuable lessons in the process, so it wasn't a total loss, but it created some serious fallout. Looking back, I can see that the immovable heaviness we all felt was in part due to the Saturnian current I'd been getting deep into at the time, among other things. Although the experience was terrible to go through, I definitely could not have gotten to the point I'm at now without it.

Currently, the painting I'm working on... or chipping away at, more accurately, is this:

I started this painting even before the previous two; you can tell that the style in the lower middle portion is considerably less intricate than on the left and right edges. I began without a real purpose or idea in mind, which is not necessarily the best way to go about doing these things; but at the time I wasn't even intending it to be a work of magic. Eventually, I had a mind-blowing insight into... everything, I suppose. It was during this session that I was given the download that included the data-spine, as well as pretty much the entire accompanying paradigm. Despite being the better part of a year ago, I'm still unpacking data that I got. I understood that this painting was to be a key, and that while it is important that I don't rush it, it is equally important that I finish it correctly. If I understand correctly, it is meant to act as my pantacle when it's finished, my elemental weapon of Earth. The large center part is a recent addition that came to me all at once. As a Leo, my present incarnation is a function of the path of Teth, reconciling the forces of Chesed and Geburah. As such, my entire world view is filtered fundamentally through the lens of this incarnation. As I expand my experiences, my knowledge, myself, to incorporate as many perspectives as possible, my reason for being here will always relate to the balancing of these forces.

It was with this painting, in its present state, that I attempted the upgrade of the 4D enhancile system I outlined previously. While I picked up a few pieces, the pieces I needed to correct errors in my path, the overall message that I got was that this painting needed to be completed before what I was attempting can come to fruition. This is why I've been quiet on the subject after my initial rush of enthusiasm. Such is often the way with me; it takes a lot of mindfulness for me not to invest too much too soon in an idea and burn myself out on it.

For now, I'm concentrating on the mystery generators and related projects. Nearly all of my magical workings, other than energy practice and external/internal yoga, is in my art now. As the mystery generators etc. are drawings, though, I will go into those some other time.

New mystery generator

oqxpo has received his mystery generator, the second of a three-part series, the first belonging to Joshua Madara and the third to go to Darwin Frost. As the generators are all linked to a shared ideaspace, they become more powerful individually; each piece describes particular aspects of the mystery generator concept, some shared, some exclusive to each device. As additional units go online, the overall concept will become more complex, leading to enhanced functionality. The flow of information through the generators also powers the complexification of the ideaspace itself, which was created to produce concepts just such as this. The machines, and the ideas behind them, will evolve.

Having some trouble deciding how much background info I need to give regarding where I got this stuff, so I'll respond to the comments on the previous post here, as well as a few updates, and then write another one for background stuff.

Much of the thinking I've been doing on this since the last post has been to compare its various workings to how one would accomplish or see the same thing from different paradigms. Mostly I've been thinking about security: how would a magician secure him or herself using, say, the spirit model, as opposed to this one? I imagine you'd have a couple different measures, breaking them down into smaller component pieces rather than, say, finding or creating one general protection spirit. For example, maybe I'd find or create one entity specifically to alert me to attacks, and house it in an amulet or some such that I'd wear; perhaps I would create a protective talisman or two to guard my house; coupled with regular cleansing/banishing of myself, the temple, the house. I would also (and do) cultivate good will with the major, god-level entities in my life, both to (ideally) keep me from encountering conflicts, and so that I'm prepared in case conflict is unavoidable.

Now, let's look at a hypothetical spirit or entity that, through summoning it or creating it or whatever, is engaged in alerting me to attack. How does this spirit know what constitutes in attack? If I've created it, I'd make sure it was strongly aligned with Mars; if it was something I'd summoned or found, I suppose I'd test it with the appropriate signs to make sure it was qualified to function as security (though I have admittedly very little experience with bringing up spirits, so this is pretty much just speculation). Either way, this spirit, by dint of its function, is presumed to be equipped with a database of recognizable attacks. Obviously I would not leave it just to this spirit, and have multiple measures in place; which will certainly be the case with the enhancile as well.

I spent a good deal of time trying to figure out how to describe the most robust attack definition library I could consider. Given that much of my current paradigm is explained through three-dimensional time, I thought that might be the way to go; or perhaps pulling from created ideaspaces, or other similar options. I eventually realized that my thinking about this case had gotten way too uptight, and this is the idea I've come up with: the tech functions by its connection to the ground of being, which necessarily holds the potential for all form. Therefore, every possible method of attack, whether its been devised yet or not, has its potentiality in the ground of being. This, I think, is how a protective spirit or entity would know how to identify an attack; having the qualities of Mars means that it is specifically concerned with, and has access to, the entire set of 'attack' and 'defence' concepts (among other things) that could possibly exist in any narrative. By describing the alert system as having access to those sets, it does, as the entire enhancile paradigm is just a system of descriptions. The only way I can see this being subverted is if the system were entirely cut off from the ground of being; but I'm not entirely sure how that would even work, as everything is a contained within it. The attacker would, I suppose, have to use an attack that immediately removed the entire concept of the security system from the mind of the target. I'll continue to put some thought into how to circumvent that. Again, I do not intend to have this be the entirety of my security; but this seems to me to be the best way of describing a threat library.

Cat points out that unless the system is smarter and wiser than the user, it is likely to get stale; and if it is smarter, it may have a different opinion than the user as to how to behave in a given situation. As I said originally, the system appears to be a... schematic, or diagram, of the energetic system of a fully enlightened being. More specifically, it is that of the user. Some time, whether this life or another, I will have reached full potential, an event that all of my narratives (except, I suppose, those that would have me fighting against this tooth and nail; but even then, I think it would still happen, just much later than when I fight to make it happen) are drawn towards. I can tap into this; and I believe that the data-spine is like a scaffolding that hastens this process. The scaffolding helps dissolve the traps that I've worked myself into over lifetimes, at the same time that it opens me up to the larger Me. First the scaffolding is installed, then it is dismantled over time as the underlying structures are completed (or complete themselves, although obviously considerable effort on my part is expended). It is, I suppose, a metaphor for, or perhaps a preparation leading to, full-blown contact with my HGA (or whatever you want to call it), an event I've not yet reached but have caught glimpses of. Thus, the system is smarter and wiser than me, my manifested consciousness, and I know that it has my best interests at heart, because it is a machine built by the greater Me for the benefit of the current, small, dense me. It doesn't become stale because it is a part of me, or a metaphor for me of which I am component part; I work very, very hard on refining and redefining myself every minute of the day, and while I, the little I, make mistakes (very frequently), the Tao does not; and every day (save for during those mistakes), I work to open myself to the Tao more and more. The enhancile system is just another way to describe that, another perspective to have; and the greater number of different perspectives I can have, the more complete an idea I'm capable of expressing about what I'm doing, which is ultimately beyond descriptions and ideas.

I suppose this means that, while different users testing this system would be installing the same system, and thus it would be similar across the board, what they're installing is the idea: "a machine to help me, in every conceivable way, to remove obstacles and help me achieve the fullest possible expression of my potential." Though perhaps that can be rendered a bit less loquaciously, I do rather have a problem with wordiness. In any case, everyone's usage and interfacing with the system would be personalized to optimally interact with their existing paradigm, simply because of the nature of what it is.

On another note, I realized while playing around with the system that new enhancelets need not be added during a superuser session. For example, I wanted it to display how my energies were divided between the classical elements, and it did just that; I also pulled up how things were divided between the ideas of alchemical salt, sulfur, and mercury. I used the information I got to re-balance things, which did seem to have an effect, but obviously this will require both long-term study and, more importantly, testing with others; it displayed about what I thought it would, but maybe it was just doing that because I thought it would display that. If I can see how the elements are balanced in someone else, and then have that confirmed by a third party, or something, that will be far more indicative of it actually working, rather than just me telling myself what I want to hear.

It is annoying having no one geographically local to me that I can work with on this, but those of you who have been giving me input are seriously a godsend; it is supremely nice to have people to talk to about this besides myself.

I'm currently planning on upgrading my own system to a beta version one week from today, on May 21 (assuming the world does not end that day, heh). Incorporating the R&D from the recent work will go a long way towards me feeling good about distributing devkits, though I will still want to test the security robustness before doing so.

In my next post I'll talk about the circumstances of my receiving this tech, as this one is already quite long. As always, any input is very appreciated.

4D Enhanciles, Superuser security, and walls of text.

More on Enhanciles

Let's talk some more about the data-spine. The default configuration package has three modes of operation: passive, active, and superuser. In passive mode, the tech is 'folded down' to its minimum area in 4D space and its energy profile is minimized. As Mr. Vincent pointed out, I had entirely neglected to take any sort of security into consideration. Even before getting to the point of superuser ID authentication, there are ways we can minimize the likelihood of malicious tampering. In its passive mode, the enhancile is consuming, and therefore generating, a minimum of energy; it is in fact evenly matched enough that, in theory, the generation and consumption are simultaneous, and its manifestation just sort of floats on currents of information from the fourth dimension; which is to say that there isn't a bunch of unused energy being broadcast out from the operator. The only thing giving it away as being there at all would be an irregular flow of information in the third dimensional space the enhancile is in. I very honestly have no idea how noticeable this is, both to more and less sensitive persons. I'm assuming that it is at least somewhat noticeable, and increases as the enhancile becomes more active, but have yet to have this verified.

Regardless, since the input and output of energy is matched, the other ongoing processes should be masked behind / appear as the flow of information. Chief among these is the trajectory optimization I mentioned. Being 4D, the data-spine has a perspective of time that allows it to automatically steer itself, and thus the operator, towards more optimal timestreams. My default definition for 'more optimal' has been timestreams with more flexibility, personal growth, and interesting and unexpected information; but I see no reason why this definition couldn't be altered to suit differing parameters.

Another background process running in all modes of operation is an alert system that warns the operator in various situations; from psychic vampirism attempts to unauthorized superuser access to potentially hostile spirits, etc. Obviously this bit is pretty important and thus will need to be reinforced and somewhat complex, since without it the operator would be relying on secondary paradigms, which, while certainly capable, still means that the operator is losing a substantial piece of protection. Designing the various failsafes for this system is a high priority for me and I would welcome input.

The operator can tap into the enhancile's more active abilities without actually switching over to active mode - and of course, any of the pieces that deploy in active mode can be utilized individually or in any combination, so it's more of a scale between passive and active. But being able to switch to fully active with a single thought can come in useful. In any case, some of the less-intensive pieces (enhancelets? I kind of like that, actually):

- Augmenting energy manipulation. I'll put this to use both when doing internal energy work, and when working on others - very hand for neck rubs. I don't even have a visual representation for this really, it just feels like flexing a non-physical muscle. I've yet to really find a ceiling on increasing the output and precision, besides the limits of my concentration - the higher the output, the more easily (or perhaps subtly) I become diverted (but that will likely improve with practice).

- A heads-up display. I have not fully manifested this yet but it is something I'm working on pretty actively. I understand what I want it to do and how I would interpret the information, it's just a matter of being able to sustain it. I'm not terrible at visualization but it's not my strongest suit. In any case, it should be able to pull up all sorts of information for you. The feeling I'm getting from this is that it appears like Iron Man's heads-up display, different information floating at different distances. Since energetic awareness isn't really limited by line-of-sight it has a 360 degree display, which is quite a bit easier to sense than the visual portions are to manifest. This one requires more concentration for me to pull up; it would definitely be difficult to maintain it for any length at my current level of skill. That being said it doesn't seem to use too much energy, varying of course with the area being sensed and the depth of scanning going on. The operator should also be able to tag beings, objects, etc, whether with feelings, ideas, or glyphs, which should then come up in the HUD.

Now, at this point on the slider between passive and active, there is a lot of room for innovation. Whole suites of enhancelets are waiting to be designed for any number of purposes. Examples can be found in the few bits that have constructed themselves (or came pre-programmed into) my own rig that manifest in active mode.

Active mode is essentially "I wish to operate at the height of my ability" mode. It requires concentration to maintain, depending on how intensively it is being used. To me, this 'looks' like the data-spine unfolding into something like a hard-light hologram version of Iron Man-esque armor; or like Shiloh Norman's godvision at the end of Seven Soldiers. All of which is made up the flowing (indeed, vorticitating) information of the fourth dimension. I am extremely interested to hear what sort of visual impression operators with different paradigms will have. The armor is around the edge of the energy field that is human-shaped and extends a number of inches outside the body (clarified as there seem to be any number of different energy fields). However, it, is also scalable and can unfold into other pieces. The armor doesn't serve to completely cut the operator off from the environment (unless specifically told to), but rather is a reinforcing of the operator's own energy body. I guess calling it armor at all is somewhat misleading, even though it does strengthen the energy body; it would be just as easy to have it in the form of an archetype or anything really. It appears as armor to me because that looks cool. But I guess that's the point of this, is that all of it could take any form and this is just how I'm looking at it.

A common enhancelet that often deploys of its own accord is some sort of power augmentation unit that functions something like a heat exchanger. At first I took it as a heatsink or something along those lines, but I think it... this isn't how it works, but it's something like it creates a field of negative information, or like an information vacuum, which causes a much huge influx of energy. These enhancelets feel or appear like.. fronds, maybe? that deploy from between the shoulder blade and spine on either side, extending up and out. At times the whole system seems more organic and at others more technological, but I think this is just impacted by the operator's current state of mind. Another related enhancelet is an array of receptors that harvest solar energy; this I've experienced as a 4D bloom of flower-like tech around me, which automatically faces the sun. This produces a less intense, but still ample boost in available energy, but feels much less... I would not say aggressive, but something like that. It's a little more on the passive side of the scale.

The superuser level is used to modify existing tech as well as install new enhanciles. The data-spine doesn't have to be first, but it provides a useful framework that simplifies new additions, whether adding on to it or something unrelated. The superuser level works (as near as I have experienced) just like the metaprogramming circuit, except that the operator is working on the enhancile (if modifying), or installing an entirely new program structure into the consciousness. This obviously requires working on the operator's own consciousness as per regular metaprogramming, there is just an added level (or levels).

In terms of security, in addition to the alert systems noted above, there must be a very thorough superuser ID authentication, otherwise, as the inestimable Mr. Vincent told me, the 4D nature of the tech would be supremely easy to exploit by malicious non-authorized operators. I'm working on the security systems but welcome any and all thoughts on it.

The direction I'm exploring now was helped along by Wolven who suggested, "Explore the idea of Chimera: particular combinations of said info/animal types, the interplay & context of which (gestalt)...is said key. Can't be reproduced, because the meaning of the combination changes In The User. It's a co-evolving ID system." To which I saw, THIS. So I believe it would work something like this, using some made up examples. Say I'm a fellow who wants to enable superuser mode to add some bits. Let's say I have some ongoing relationships with bear spirits, as well as eagles, and that I'm on very good terms with Odin and I guess Thor. When I install the first enhancile, I will, through ritual or some other means, energize my link to Thor, bears, eagles, and Odin. This would probably involve assuming god forms, invocation, offerings... the idea is not that you are just calling on the spirit or god or animal, because that could be easily done by someone else trying to hack your system. Rather, you are empowering the context that the particular symbol holds in your life at that moment, and all the moments up to it, and presumably after as well. The same order would need to be utilized every time (although changing the order, or adding bits to it, should be possible in superuser mode). The gestalt of all of these different vectors couldn't easily be spoofed, because the vectors would be different for the hacker in time leading up to, and after, the hacking attempt. Even if the hacker did match every action you did, physically, mentally, magically, when you went into superuser mode, it still wouldn't work for them, because their narrative is not your narrative; only you have lived this life, all your previous lives, and all your potential future lives. I suppose this would leave you vulnerable to higher-dimensional beings that could conceivably follow your entire narrative by existing outside of, but being able to manifest in, time, but this less of an immediate concern (though definitely needs to be addressed). Anyway, that is the direction that I'm exploring for superuser security, let me know what you all think.

In theory, a user could install enhanciles simply by knowing the idea, reaching the necessary energetic level and willing it. However, I plan to supplement this using tech similar to that of the mystery generators seen here, with the necessary changes in structure and programming. I think knowing the nature of the enhancile would be, if not necessary, then highly beneficial; perhaps one could still get it installed just through the machinery depiction, but it would be kind of like implanting something in your body and having no idea what it is. I am also EXTREMELY interested in using music, either alone or in conjunction with the art-machinery, as a method of installation. I mean, imagine you get a thumb drive in the mail, it has a song named 'auto-complexifying data-spine', you get set at the superuser level and install it by listening to the song! Awesome. I think individual songs might work better as enhancelets, as in my experience so far, the longer I've taken to install something the higher the quality of the fusion between my energy field and the tech. A song on repeat, though, or in conjunction with a visual key, would work wonders.

That's it for now. I've still got a lot more on this, and on pieces that factor into but are not directly related to this, that I will try to get up in the next few days. My plan is to, with everyone's help, get the security features figured out, and then integrate them into the bare-bones alpha version that was given to me or installed in me or whatever. Then once the security is deemed satisfactory, I'll start working on devkits to send out to all of you supremely wonderful beta testers. I can barely contain my excitement on this everyone!

A Brief Explanation of the 4D Enhancile Project

4D enhanciles do to your energy field what Lepht Anonym does to its physical body. My experiences with the fourth dimension have been of an informational-energetic nature, which is to say that, so far as I have been able to experience, the subtle energy (chi, lung, prana, orgone) either carries, or is, information. The structures of your mind, as composed of ideas, are literally structures, a network of topological information, capable of being viewed and altered with magic, hallucinogens, yoga, and other diverse means. Arguably one of the simplest methods of altering your energy field is via the use of sigils. By empowering a sigil, you are incorporating it into your energy body; if it's not eventually dissolved, it can become stale, an embedded and forgotten glyph, not unlike a surgically-implanted RFID tag that no longer functions and irritates the surrounding tissue. Internal alchemy and more advanced magic techniques yield more drastic changes, but - at least in my experience - tend not to appear as informational structures themselves, typically removing, modifying, or adding to existing structures. The 4d enhancile project proposes independently-powered, persistent machinery grafted into the energy body; machinery that learns as you learn, which makes your life easier and, more importantly, more interesting.

After my first major download of data from the fourth dimension, one of the pieces of information I received was a design for what was described to me as a "self-generating, auto-complexifying data-spine." It seemed to be a fancy way of describing a fully-empowered psychic nervous system - that is, it is a blueprint from the future (or more accurately, from a higher mathematical dimension where there is no past or future) of the energetic system of a fully enlightened being. It is self-generating, in that it is not reliant on your energy field for power; being a construct of 4D ideaplasm, it is connected directly to (and built from the stuff of) the ground of being, and it draws energy from the flow of 4D information past/over/through it. It is auto-complexifying in that, once installed, it always seeks to manifest itself as fully as possible in every moment. Essentially this means it helps to optimize your trajectory. If you've worked on yourself with metaprogramming of any sort, you know you can orient yourself to go with the grain or flow of your life, rather than against it. The data-spine refines this process by steering towards timestreams with the greatest amount of flexibility and the greatest potential for manifesting and digesting new and unexpected information, the appeal to which should be apparent to any magician. It is not so much a case of what's "good" or "bad" for your life, being relative terms, but rather, as the data-spine is made from, and tapped into, stuff existing beyond time, it has the perspective necessary to help steer things to timestreams with a greater possible spread of interesting outcomes. Its chrono-navigation priorities could no doubt be tailored to suit the goals of the user. Furthermore, a feedback loop is created: with greater flexibility comes greater information flow, yielding more available power to the data-spine, producing more complexity, and so on.

The data-spine also provides a solid foundation for future modification, both in terms of new enhancements and modifications to the data-spine itself. Some time after figuring out a bit of with the data-spine, I received an unexpected upgrade to my heart chakra, the technology of which I'm still reverse-engineering. My mystery generators are built on similar principles, in that they're self-powered, but they don't embed themselves in the users' energy fields.

This is why I need test pilots.

The time has come to alpha test my new project. When was the last time you got something really cool in the mail, something mysterious and magical and unexpected? In the age of digital communication, writing letters has fallen by the wayside. Over the last few months, I've been been mailing letters that are art (or art that is a letter), including what I've posted here, to a few people. I want to introduce high levels of unexpected information to people's lives. This stuff is psychic machinery, created in a magical state, serving as gates to those states. I want to make the most interesting people I know even more interesting. I want to spread the language-virus that is magic as wide and as deeply as possible. Those that read this are among the most receptive people I know, able to accommodate the highest volume of the most unexpected information. Those of us already infected incubate magic and mutate as it mutates; when it infects someone new, it starts with a weak hold and takes time to grow. I want to create a global petri dish of magicians, artists of all stripes, thinkers, tinkerers, creators and innovators; those who are already deeply infected. I want to encourage cross-contamination of new and unpredictable variations. Obviously, the internet has enabled this to a degree far beyond anything I could ever accomplish. However, what the internet offers in terms of connectivity and speed, it lacks in physicality. I want the people that I find most interesting to have a physical connection, a talismanic flow of information and artifacts beyond what the internet can offer. I am driven to spread my weirdness as far and wide as possible, and this blog helps, certainly; but imagine a magician in the UK, a musician on the east coast of the US, a painter in Denmark, and countless other individuals all linked in a tangible web of mystery and wonder. Such a network could lead to a rather amazing egregore, I believe. And what's more, any contribution I can make to bring back the exchange of hand-written letters is something I surely would like to do.

Thus, the alpha testing phase of this project. This is merely the first step, to test the water and see how viable my full ideas are. So: how would you like to receive some free, personalized art, along the lines of what has been posted here, in the mail? I will not be posting pictures of anything that I mail, in order to increase the mystery of the whole thing. Every piece will be unique. On the one hand, there is sure to be some reticence to giving your address to someone over the internet; I can only hope that some of you will be interested enough to trust me. Consider it like a contest, where you instantly win free, one-of-a-kind art simply by entering. There is of course also the magical aspect of it as well; it is not just a cool-looking thing (though I do think they look pretty cool), but should you wish to engage with them in a magical fashion, you will not be disappointed. Plus, knowing that you each piece is linked to each other piece is pretty cool; simply by receiving one you are connected to any number of other incredibly interesting individuals. Part of my intent is to create an expanding web of inspiration that any recipient can tap into via the letters. But even if you have no desire for the mumbo-jumbo, you still end up with some unique stuff.

I will also admit to some selfishness - I myself desire to be connected more tangibly to the people I've met recently (nearly entirely through Twitter, which continues to amaze me with the quality of ideas I am exposed to).

Energy Healing and Higher-Dimensional Topology

This essay is an attempt to unify various bits of understanding and experience I've had recently regarding the energetic healing portions of my magical practices. There are a few things I will not be going into in detail in this writing, but are still taken as presuppositions in order to describe what I've experienced. One such point is that "energy," whether it be called ki, orgone, vril, magnetic fluid, LVX, or anything else, is also information. Perhaps this is common knowledge but it was a real moment of understanding for me. On the other hand, perhaps I'm the only one that experiences it that way; I don't know. Please keep in mind that at no point am I trying to describe the way anything "is;" I only wish to describe to myself, as accurately as possible, the things I have experienced and the ways that I've experienced them. For the sake of spreading information, and out of curiosity about whether others experience things similarly, I make it available.

The complicated interaction between muscular tensions, energetic blockages (collapsed aura, buildup of stagnant or toxic energy, disconnected chakras, etc), psychological trauma, and other factors create a complex situation to treat. In my experience, it often seems to happen so automatically that I don't need to think of treating every level of damage at once. Indeed, only by learning to treat each one independently have I come to be aware of all of them at once.

When I first was called to conduct this sort of healing, the most natural and obvious way of directing the energy/information was using my hands. This happened so automatically that it was very easy at first, but I wanted to learn what exactly I was doing. I eventually figured out that the healing became much easier when I wasn't actually making physical contact, and with that I soon came to realize that, while the energy was easier to direct with muscular movements, rather than purely with my mind, I could bind complex energetic processes to simple movements. I had a vision of a sort of cosmic keyboard, where one finger's movement could play a whole chord of energetic notes, as it were. With every slight movement of every finger thus affecting a wealth of energetic changes, progress became much more rapid. From there, it wasn't long before arm movements came into play, and rapidly I was using my whole body, contorting into unbelievable shapes, building up to a high level of tension in various and uncommon angles and poses, and then gradually bringing the tension down to a deep relaxation.

A brief but necessary digression. Imagine the smallest measurable unit of muscular movement, in the smallest measurable unit of muscle; I will call this a bit for simplicity. Bits will be back shortly.

The interaction of the aforementioned physical, psychological, and energetic issues, if experienced tactically or visually, have come to form a sort of higher-dimensional field or shape with a discernible, information-dense topology. Healing the wounds this field seems to represent can be like picking an extra-dimensional lock; like solving a riddle, often coming down to a key word or phrase, while at the same time manipulating my muscles into extreme but highly specific tensions, which often puts me in a pose or posture - almost as a side-effect, frequently - that is 'speaking' on a symbolic or archetypal level. However, it is not so much one correct answer or pose or tension that brings the solution to the problem; rather, it is more of an information flow. More information flowing through and across the wound topology results in a greater number of solutions being found. I have experienced this as the muscular and energetic changes creating a feeling of shuffling through different possible futures. Each bit of muscular movement corresponds to at least one bit of energy, and thus information. The deviation of the ratio of muscular movement to energy/information appears to correspond to the deviation from the linear time line, that is, deviation from the future that would have been experienced had the healing not taken place. This is to say that the greater the amount of energy/information being moved through the wound and thus through the consciousness of the person being healed, the greater the chances of previously unlikely futures manifesting, as well as even more unlikely futures being adjacent to the resulting linear timeline. Thus, a more severe contortion, utilizing a great deal of my muscles, is able to (and required to) affect a greater degree of change than just using my hands.

Back to the topology of the wounds: it isn't regular. It has the multi-dimensional equivalents of pits, holes, peaks, valleys, and many other extra-spatial features. It can do all manner of things that are somewhat difficult for me to describe, higher-dimensional hyperboloids and the like. No doubt if I had a higher math education I could do a better job of describing this, but I feel lucky I know as much as I do from teaching myself and experiencing these things directly. The feeling of trying to heal these wounds is somewhat like attempting to align tumblers on a multi-dimensional cylinder lock, but recently, I've been encountering even more complex forms. It's as though I'm completely immersed in field of sensory input; every smallest measurable bit of sensory information is both a product and a facet of the field. The entire field as a whole is a lock, and it is made up of smaller locks, which are themselves made up of locks, all the way down to the smallest measurable energy/information bit of the field. Each lock requires a different solution. "Adjacent" locks, which may not be experienced as adjacent due to their extra-dimensional nature, will not necessarily have similar solutions or even appear to be related. What's more, the solutions may be in wildly diverse forms, one being a phrase or word that is eventually found after applying enough energy, the next being a certain combination of muscular tensions, or a pose or posture, the next one requiring a purely energetic application, and so on. On the one hand, the solutions of the component locks all add up to the solution of the larger lock; but again, the higher-dimensional features mean that it may not be observably related immediately. Generally, meditation over time has lead to an understanding, but at the time the issues are often confusing. What's more, while I often experience sort of the "flavor" as it were of the issue being treated, the person being healed frequently is experiencing an entirely different facet of the issue, so that only by putting together what we both experienced afterwards is anything approaching a complete picture found.

Given the number of solutions I need to find to heal this wound (which might just be one issue at hand!), even more complex applications of energy/information, such as the cosmic keyboard, have not proven particularly effective. The best method I've found thus far is to completely immerse myself in the wound topology or "lock field," while at the same time enveloping the wound topology in a greater field of energy/information. Immersed in the lock field, I apply "outward" or exteriorizing pressure; while the outer field applies "inward" or interiorizing pressure. The lock field / wound topology is thus suspended in a sort of vacuum between the two solution-finding fields, which automatically try to equalize their pressure, this equalization resulting in the wound being healed. All solutions still cannot be supplied instantly, however, as one lock may require a solution that is antipodal to the required solution of an adjacent lock; somewhat as if one solution is at the zenith of a wave and the next is at the nadir. Still, both the interiorizing and exteriorizing fields can be programmed to find the maximum number of solutions for each smallest measurable unit of time. This is another facet that, when I was starting out, was nearly entirely automatic; but as the problems I face have gotten more complex, I've had to learn to do manually (or at least be able to describe to myself) what needs to happen in order for it to work.

The most effective way that I've found of reaching the maximum number of solutions for each smallest bit of time is a simultaneous vorticitation of information/energy, occurring at every level and at every scale. Vorticitation is a feature of higher-dimensional geometries whereby all points on a surface (for example, a hypersphere, the fourth-dimensional version of a three-dimensional sphere) simultaneously pull themselves inside-out, through themselves, to their antipodes on the other side of the surface. Informationally, this means that one bit of information becomes and expresses its total opposite, as well as every degree of difference between itself and its opposite. The amount of information that can be expressed by even the smallest bit of energy is therefore phenomenally large.

[As an aside, I was exposed to this sensation before I knew there was a word for it; the very day after I experienced it, I came across Peter J. Carroll's Vorticitating Hypersphere Cosmology and was quite surprised to see that his hypotheses described much of what I had experienced the night before.]

So: the exteriorizing and interiorizing fields as wholes are vorticitating over, against and through the lock field; smaller component areas of the fields (corresponding and forming to the topological features of the wound) are vorticitating through the smaller component locks, all the way down to the smallest measurable bits of energy/information vorticitating through the smallest measurable bits of lock. Each smallest measurable bit of time describes a complete vorticitation at every level, from the smallest bits up to the fields as wholes. Each bit of information/energy is therefore inhabiting the entire range of manifestations that is possible to express, in every smallest measurable bit of time; it has returned to its quantum superposition. Healing, from this point of view, could be described as systematically de-collapsing the wound topology's wave-function, and then re-collapsing it into a healthier manifested reality.

Very often, the wound topology appears to be permeable (or at least mostly permeable), that is, all of it can 'seen' or 'felt' at once; there is no 'inside' or 'outside.' However, it still seems to have a 'density' of sorts that varies proportionally to features of the topology. For example, I may come across a topological feature somewhat like a hyperbolic paraboloid. As I come 'nearer' to the paraboloid, the energy/information seems denser or slower, and moving along/inside the paraboloid itself, some areas of it will feel thicker or heavier than others. It is as though the 'depth' of the wound or area is proportional to the density of energy/information. The density imparts a degree of immobility to the wound that also increases as one goes 'deeper.' In fact, it is like the wound's depth determines the degree of possible vorticitation; at the outer 'edges' of the wound, more movement through higher dimensions is possible, but as one penetrates more deeply, the energy/information is capable of describing less and less of a transformation to its antipode. At the very core of the wound (and thus the core of one of Grof's COEX constellations), I will find a bit that has been frozen completely in place by the wound; a bit that corresponds to a muscular tension, buried so deeply it has been forgotten, that was incapable of being relaxed; a psychological trauma that has created an unhealthy description of reality (that is, a sub- or unconscious 'rule' has been formed that orders all relevant information according to itself, producing an experienced reality in accordance with the rule); an energetic blockage of some type; and various other related issues. Treating wounds with this paradigm thus involves restoring mobility to the wounded area, starting with the less-frozen 'outer' areas (corresponding to outer areas of the COEX constellation), moving 'inward' to eventually reach the core of the wound, where trauma has created an exclusionary "truth" that is systematically exposed to a widening spectrum of possibility, until it is finally healed upon reaching its antipode. That is, the wound is healed when reconciled with its opposite. Once a full vorticitation has been experienced, a new, healthier manifested reality can be selected from any of the countless possibilities opened up by the transformation.

There is no real conclusion to this; it is simply a springboard to further research.
